Camera Access: We access your camera solely to scan documents. Photos are stored locally on your device and are never uploaded without your consent.

Storage Access: We access device storage to save scanned documents and PDFs locally.

Google Account (Optional): If you choose to sign in with Google for cloud backup, we store your email and profile name to identify your backup.

2. How We Use Your Information

• Scan and save documents on your device
• Create PDF files from scanned images
• Extract text using OCR (processed on-device)
• Cloud backup (only if you opt-in with Google Sign-In)

3. Data Storage

Local Storage: All scanned documents are stored locally on your device by default.

Cloud Backup (Optional): If enabled, documents are encrypted and stored in Firebase Cloud Storage associated with your Google account.

4. Data Sharing

We do NOT:

• Sell your personal data
• Share your documents with third parties
• Use your documents for advertising
• Access your documents without your permission

5. Third-Party Services

We use the following services:

• Google Firebase: For authentication and optional cloud backup
• Google ML Kit: For on-device text recognition (OCR)

6. Your Rights

• Delete your documents anytime from the app
• Disable cloud backup in settings
• Request deletion of cloud data by contacting us
• Use the app completely offline without signing in

7. Children's Privacy

ScanKaro is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy occasionally. We'll notify you of significant changes through the app.
